Product description
Very simple, handy flattening stone that we recommend for the Niwaki Combination Stone. Use little and often, splashing constantly with water - we don’t feel the use of abrasive powder is necessary.
Over time, your whetstones will wear out, usually with a slight hollowed scoop down the middle, depending on how you sharpen, and it will become harder and harder to sharpen to a true edge. Occasional flattening (every few times you sharpen, as a guide) brings style stone back to a flat surface.
Best usage
Keep it wet, use little and often.
