Product description

Hand made in a limited edition in Okayama, the heartland of Japanese denim, using 12oz indigo selvedge denim with 2% stretch for added movement - equally handy at the top of a Niwaki Tripod Ladder as when picking your way through the back streets of Kyoto.

Loose fitting, with deep, double lined pockets, kimono collar, and loose sleeves, made to be rolled up. Just what one wants in a practical, hard wearing work jacket, but it also dresses up surprisingly well. Ages, like the best of us, gracefully, but it’s best roughed up a bit to get things started - no denim really works until it’s had a night out under the stars.

Best usage

You know the rules: wash rarely, cool, minimal soap, inside out with similar colours. Expect slight colour run and for heaven’s sake don’t wear with white for a while. Line dry, and all that sort of stuff.

A note on measuring: length is measured from lower edge of the collar (ie NOT counting the collar band fabric) to the very bottom of the back hem, which is slightly longer than the front.
