Product description
Hand forged in Hyogo Prefecture, our Karikomi Shears have curved blades for the organic contours of cloud pruned topiary and wavy hedges. Absolutely perfect for box balls and larger scale yew clipping - the white paper shirogami steel blades sharpen to an incredible edge, so essential for clean cuts and a tidy finish, but avoid heavier, woody cuts.
Medium length oak handles give good all-over balance and strength, providing a bit of clout where needed, without compromising on precision or lightness of touch.
Best usage
- Clean with a Niwaki Clean Mate rust and sap eraser
- Sharpen with a Niwaki #1000 grit stone
- Protect with Niwaki Camellia Oil
