Hiba Sake Cups
Set of two

Hand turned from Thujopsis dolabrata.

More Information

Beautiful little sake cups made from Thujopsis dolabrata, a cedar native to Aomori Prefecture in Northern Japan. Hiba contains moisture repelling oils that prevent nasty bacteria, and add a divine smell that gradually fades over time. Set of two.

There’s something comforting about drinking from a wooden cup, especially Hiba cedar wood, and even more so when you’ve met the man who makes them - lovely, grinning, chaotic, covered-in -wood-shavings, Sekikawa san.

Tips

Push the boat out a bit and get yourself some Junmai Daiginjyo.
