Cloudy Box in the Big Smoke
Ahh, the leafy streets of London. God I hate them, the constant rebuilds and all that they involve, and the incessant whine of two-stroke leaf blowers. Which is why it was such a joy to get to work in one of Declan Buckley’s north London projects, this wild, woodlandy garden surrounding a modern glass house. The two multi-stemmed box trees, large leafed ones, had out-grown their nursery shapes, and we went for the cloudy vibe, just a touch of Japanese, but more organic, more broccoli. This was clip number one. Next summer hopefully we’ll get a bit more definition into them.
