Adjusting the front leg on an 11' EN-Pro Tripod Ladder

1. Niwaki Tripod Ladders are constructed to exacting Japanese engineering standards from welded aluminium, so they’re light yet rigid, and what’s more you can keep them outside without worrying about rust or rot. That’s almost 3 reasons in one! This is so easy!

2. All of our Tripod Ladders have an adjustable rear leg, so you can work on a slope. If you find yourself working on steps or terraced ground, consider purchasing one of our EN-Pro Adjustable models (7',9' & 11') which have three adjustable legs.

3. Wide, double non-slip steps that won’t collect mud ensure a very sure-footed climb.

4. Spring pins! No fiddly pins for securing the adjustable legs. Ours have a spring pin catch, so you can operate them one handed. It’s the little things.

5. Easy to lift means they’re easy to get on the roof of a car or work van (though you might need another ladder for the latter!). As a bonus, if you strap them up just right they make a pleasing whistling sound at certain speeds.

6. The bad luck associated with walking under a regular ladder does not apply to a Niwaki Tripod Ladder. In fact we have our suspicions that the opposite may be true … just watch out for the chain.

7. Having a single rear leg makes it simple to poke the leg into the hedge without causing too much damage, so you can get closer to the action. Handy in a tight spot.

8. Our ladders have clever clawed feet that dig into the earth, keeping you extra secure.

9. Rubber feet, supplied as an extra (not everyone needs them) are useful if you plan to work on hard ground. Ours are easy to twist off and on (unlike some we’ve seen) and can even be applied one-handed whilst wearing gloves, which is handy.

10. Crikey – we’ve hardly even spoken about the Lucanos and Slim Steps yet. Let’s start with the colours: matte black, white, red and funky orange, plus a silver Slim Step. Truly, there is something for everyone.

Lucano 3 Step in Red

11. We could start a whole new list for the different uses of a Tripod Ladder throughout the year, from putting up Christmas lights to orchard pruning and everything in-between, but the main takeaway here is that they make so many previously unpalatable jobs much easier and much safer. In a few cases, they even mean you won’t need to call in an expensive ‘professional’ (unless you are the expensive … uh, we mean reasonably-priced professional).

12. Back to the Lucanos: no need to climb? Why not repurpose as a side-table when not in use? They certainly look the part.

13. Meanwhile the Slim Steps, as the name suggests, fold away very neatly, making them easy to store when not in use. No more traipsing out to the shed to get your creaky old steps on a rainy day or wobbling on a dining chair just to change a light bulb – even the tiniest London pied-a-terre has space to store for a Slim Step.

14. It might be difficult for you to choose which Niwaki Tripod Ladder you need, which is why we have a handy data table (see: niwaki.com/tripod-ladders) detailing things like working height and spread of the feet. Not only that but our knowledgable and friendly customer service team and shop staff will be pleased to discuss your needs and offer expert advice, from experience. A two year warranty seals the deal.

15. We don’t often do discounts you know…what are you waiting for?
