Product description
Slender, straight shaft of white oak (Quercus myrsinifolia) with a flat toe (the top of the head) and an elegant curved beard (the bottom). The full sized Kiwari axe has a lighter feel than western axes, and is beautifully balanced and perfect for lighter splitting.
Best usage
Ideal for felling (cutting down trees), limbing (removing branches from felled trees) and bucking (cutting felled trees into shorter logs). The long handle, and surgically sharp white paper steel blade combine for perfect balance to maximise efficiency and reduce user fatigue.
Always check your surroundings and wear the appropriate safety gear before use, including sensible shoes.
Keeping your blade clean and sharp will ensure the axe’s longevity and keep it (and you) safe. Wipe clean after each use to remove debris, and treat with Camellia Oil (we stock this) to prevent rust. Sharpen as needed. When not in use, keep the axe in its sheath and store it in a safe, dry location.
